Hot Dog - Hamburger Buns

Heat milk, water and butter until very warm (not boiling). In a large mixing bowl add 1 3/4 cups of flour, the yeast, sugar and salt. Then mix the warm milk mixture into the flower adding the egg last. Mix well while adding ingredients. When the dough has formed, lay it on a lightly floured surface, and knead well, about 9 minutes.

Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. For hamburger buns roll into balls and flatten slightly, placing them on a greased cookie sheet. Allow to rise for 30 minutes. For hot dog buns, make a 6x4 rectangle roll up along the long sides and pinch the ends. Allow to rise for 25 minutes.

Bake at 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
